South Genetics · molecular profiling in uro-oncology.

UMIBA works in alliance with South Genetics, an external laboratory, to bring molecular diagnostics closer to clinical decisions in uro-oncology. The available panels are those in the laboratory's catalog, oriented toward risk stratification, recurrence prediction and support for targeted therapy. The details of each panel are discussed at the consultation.

The panel provides molecular information in cases where the classic criteria do not fully guide management. It serves as support for risk stratification, recurrence prediction and targeted therapy. When it is appropriate and which panel is ordered is a decision defined at the consultation, according to each situation.

Integrating the panel into the decision is always collaborative: the molecular result is discussed by a multidisciplinary committee before proposing an indication. The panel does not replace clinical judgment: it refines it when needed.

Molecular diagnostics in uro-oncology helps stratify risk and guide the therapeutic decision for each patient.

Access for UMIBA patients

Integrated clinical coordination.

UMIBA patients with a panel indication access it through the institutional flow. The sample is taken in the office during the consultation or postoperatively; processing is carried out by South Genetics as an external laboratory; results are discussed by the committee and shared with the patient with clinical interpretation.

Genetic panels are self-pay: they are not processed through health insurers (obras sociales). The details are discussed at the consultation.
