Processing of personal data.

UMIBA processes the personal data of patients and inquirers in accordance with Law No. 25.326 on the Protection of Personal Data (Argentina) and, where applicable for patients residing in Brazil, in accordance with Law No. 13.709/2018 (LGPD).

Last updated: July 6, 2026. In the event of a discrepancy between language versions, the Spanish version prevails.

Terms applicable to this Policy.

PERSONAL DATA: information of any kind referring to determined or determinable persons. SENSITIVE DATA / HEALTH DATA: those that reveal a state of health, in accordance with art. 2 of Law No. 25.326. DATA SUBJECT: the person to whom the data refer.

Privacy policy

Law No. 25.326.

First. Controller and legal framework. The personal data collected through the SITE are processed by the CONTROLLER in accordance with the principles and requirements of Law No. 25.326 on the Protection of Personal Data and its regulations.

Second. Data we collect. UMIBA collects the data that the USER voluntarily provides through the contact and consultation-request forms (name, contact details and the clinical information the USER chooses to provide), and the technical navigation data described in the Cookie Policy.

Third. Purpose. The data are processed to answer inquiries, coordinate and provide the requested medical care, comply with legal obligations and, where there is consent, send institutional communications and measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns through Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads, as detailed in the Cookie Policy. Health data are not used for advertising purposes. They are not used for automated decisions with legal effects on the DATA SUBJECT.

Fourth. Consent. The processing is based on the free, express and informed consent of the DATA SUBJECT (art. 5, Law No. 25.326), given upon completing and submitting the SITE's forms, without prejudice to the other applicable legal bases.

Fifth. Health data and medical confidentiality. Health data are sensitive data. UMIBA processes them in its capacity as a healthcare establishment and professionals, in accordance with art. 8 of Law No. 25.326, covered by the professional secrecy imposed by Law No. 17.132 and art. 156 of the Criminal Code. These data are used exclusively for the care purpose and are not transferred to third parties without the consent of the DATA SUBJECT, except by legal obligation.

Sixth. With whom we share the data. UMIBA does not commercialize personal data. It may communicate them only to the professionals involved in the care of the DATA SUBJECT, to providers acting on behalf of UMIBA under an obligation of confidentiality, and to the competent authority when there is a legal obligation, court order or substantiated request.

Seventh. International transfer. Some of the service providers UMIBA uses to operate the SITE are located outside Argentina: the providers that host the SITE and process the forms, and the messaging service that delivers new-inquiry notifications to UMIBA. When you voluntarily complete and submit a form, the data you choose to provide, which may include health information in the free-text fields, is transmitted to those providers, which act on behalf of UMIBA, under a confidentiality obligation and for the sole purpose of receiving and responding to your inquiry. By submitting the form, you consent to that processing and to the international transfer of such data, under art. 12 of Law No. 25.326. Apart from that case, and from the analytics and measurement cookies described in the Cookie Policy (Google), UMIBA does not transfer abroad the personal data collected in Argentina, except in anonymized form or dissociated from its subject. In all cases, the processing is carried out under the protection of Argentine law.

Eighth. Security. UMIBA adopts the technical and organizational measures required by art. 9 of Law No. 25.326 to preserve the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the data and to prevent their alteration, loss or unauthorized access.

Ninth. Rights of the data subject (access, rectification, update, deletion, objection). The DATA SUBJECT may exercise, free of charge, the rights of access, rectification, update, deletion and objection over their data. UMIBA will provide the requested information within ten (10) business days of receiving the access request (art. 14, Law No. 25.326) and will proceed with the rectification, update or deletion within five (5) business days (art. 16). The right of access may be exercised free of charge at intervals of no less than six months, unless a legitimate interest is demonstrated (art. 14, subsection 3).

Tenth. How to exercise your rights. The DATA SUBJECT may exercise these rights through the SITE's contact form, indicating in the subject «Inform», «Rectify», «Delete», «Update» or «Object» as appropriate, and proving their identity. The AGENCY FOR ACCESS TO PUBLIC INFORMATION, in its capacity as the supervisory body of Law No. 25.326, has the authority to attend to the complaints and claims filed in relation to compliance with the personal data protection rules.

Eleventh. Minors. The SITE is not directed at minors. UMIBA does not knowingly collect data from minors under 14 years of age through the SITE; the clinical data of minor patients are processed within the framework of the care relationship, with the intervention of their legal representatives.

Twelfth. Cookies. The SITE uses cookies as detailed in the Cookie Policy, which forms part of this Policy.

Thirteenth. Updates. UMIBA may update this Policy. The version in force is the one published on the SITE, with its date of last update.
